[54.1] ACCREDITING MISSION ACCOMPANIMENT

BBH consultant Terry Tennens, a Baptist minister, has been meeting with representatives of Cliff College today to discuss details of a proposed two-year part-time Diploma in Mission Accompaniment to be run from September 2005. Also present was Churches' Commission on Mission Secretary Simon Barrow and John Cole from the Church of England.

BBH is also involved in discussion with institutions in Scotland, Wales and Ireland about accompanier training. This is seen as one of the main 'outcomes' from the current phase of BBH work, fostering and contributing to wider collaboration among those helping to equip churches at grassroots level.
